Brisbane Sleeper Wall Installers is a free referral service. Despite the name, we do not install retaining walls ourselves. When you send an enquiry, we pass your details to independent concrete sleeper retaining wall installers so they can contact you about your project. This policy explains what we collect, how it is used and the choices you have.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you visit the website, send an enquiry or use the chat concierge. By using the website you agree to the handling of your information as described in this policy.

2.1 Information you provide

When you complete an enquiry form on the website, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Your suburb
  • The details you give us about your retaining wall project (for example approximate length and height, slope and site access)
  • A record that you ticked the consent box, and when

We also collect anything you choose to tell us by email or through the chat concierge (see Section 5). You can deal with us anonymously or using a pseudonym when you are only browsing the website, but we need your contact details to pass on an enquiry.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, our hosting and analytics services may automatically record technical information, such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version, operating system and device type
  • Pages visited, time spent on pages and the referring website
  • General location (country or region level)

We use this information in aggregate to understand how the website is used and to keep it secure.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the purpose of your enquiry, including providing it to independent contractors and businesses that offer services related to your enquiry. By submitting an enquiry, you consent to being contacted about it. We or our partners may also contact you about related products and services. 4. Who We Share Your Information With

4.1 Independent service providers

As set out in the consent you give on our enquiry forms, your details may be shared with independent service providers, such as retaining wall installers and related trades, and they may contact you about your enquiry. These providers are separate businesses. Once they receive your details, their own privacy policies govern how they handle your information.

4.2 Service providers that help us run the website

We use third parties to host the website, receive and route enquiry form submissions, send and store email, run the chat concierge and measure website use. They handle personal information on our behalf for these purposes.

4.3 Legal requirements

We may disclose your information where required or authorised by law, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others.

5. AI-Powered Concierge

This site uses an AI-powered concierge widget that answers general questions and helps you start an enquiry via on-site text chat. The concierge is an automated AI system, not a human. When you interact with the concierge, the following data may be collected and processed:

  • Chat transcripts (the messages you type and the concierge's replies).
  • Any contact details or project details you choose to type into the chat, such as your name, phone number, email address, suburb and wall details.
  • Metadata such as time of contact, IP address, browser type, and the page you were on when the conversation began.

If you use the chat to make an enquiry, your details and the relevant parts of the chat transcript may be shared with independent service providers so they can contact you about it, in the same way as an enquiry made through our forms (see Sections 3 and 4).

We use the following third-party AI vendor to deliver the concierge experience:

Conversation data is retained for up to 90 days for quality and compliance review, after which it is deleted or anonymised. You may request deletion of your conversation data at any time by contacting us at the email address listed in this policy. Details passed to service providers as part of an enquiry are then also held by those providers under their own privacy policies.

Data is processed in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

6. Overseas Disclosure

Some of the services we use to host the website, process enquiries, store email and run the chat concierge (including the AI vendor named in Section 5) may store or process information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps under APP 8 to ensure your information is handled in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as required by law:

  • Enquiry records: kept while they are needed to handle your enquiry and for record-keeping, including evidence of the consent you gave
  • Concierge conversations: up to 90 days, as described in Section 5
  • Analytics data: kept in aggregated or de-identified form

When we no longer need personal information, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

8. Access, Correction and Complaints

8.1 Access and correction

You may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading. You may also ask us to delete your information. Email us at quotes@concretesleeperretainingwallsbrisbane.au. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within a reasonable time.

8.2 Withdrawing consent and opting out

You can opt out of marketing messages at any time using the unsubscribe link in a message or by emailing us. If you no longer want to be contacted about an enquiry, let us know and we will tell the providers we passed it to. Providers who already hold your details are responsible for their own records, so you may also need to contact them directly.

8.3 Complaints

If you think we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

8.4 Visitors from outside Australia

The website is run from Australia for Brisbane homeowners. If you are in the European Union or another region with its own privacy laws, you may have additional rights, such as data portability or objecting to processing. Contact us and we will consider your request under the law that applies.

9. Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. The website uses only the cookies and similar storage it needs to work, and any analytics we use is configured to measure overall website use rather than to track individuals across other sites.

Some embedded third-party services, such as the map in our service area section and the chat concierge, may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. You can view, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some features may not work if you do.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include encrypted (HTTPS) connections, reputable hosting providers and limiting access to enquiry data to the people and providers who need it.

No method of transmitting or storing information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
